Gainesville Healthcare Defense attorney Mark Thomas attained a compete dismissal of multiple charges against a psychologist before the Florida Board of Psychology on July 20, 2012 in Tampa, in Department of Health v. Shaked, Case No. 11-5995PL (Fla. Div. Admin. Hrngs. 2010). The psychologist was charged with utilizing “experimental” techniques on two patients without informed consent, as well as practice below the standard of care regarding the patients’ termination of therapy. After a three-day administrative trial and an appearance before the Board, all charges against the psychologist were dropped and the case was dismissed on August 13, 2012.
